I have decided to include 4 images on the contents page, relative to stories within the magazine. In the top left hand corner of each of these images I have included the page number which this story will appear on. Despite the varying sizes of these images, the page numbers will appear as the same size, colour and font on each to create a sense of structure and professionalism. I am currently unsure as to whether I want my masthead to simply be 'Contents' or the title of the magazine however I have decided on the positioning, as pictured on the flat plan above. I feel like this positioning is suitable as it is at the top and where people will begin reading. As well as this, the text will be larger than any other text on the page causing it to stand out. The list of story titles and page numbers will be positioned in a column down the right hand side of the page. I have chosen the solid structure of images on the left and text on the right as I believe it appears as neat, organised and professional. Lastly, at the bottom of my page I have added a letter from the editor and an image of this person. I decided to position this letter at the bottom as I do not believe that every magazine reader reads the letter from the editor and therefore do not feel that it is vital that this receives a stand-out position on the page.
